Tree of Death

Moments you can’t string together

Faces that resemble memories

One by one they drop like fruit too

Heavy, dripping down from the tree it hangs from

Betrayal cutting deep to my roots

Leaving my heart brittle like bark

Jealousy is the culprit of where this hate stems

Branching off into other forms of evil

Often perplexed, never stumped

Growing into new territory, nothing old can fit in my trunk
